My Story

I was inspired to begin my journey as a therapist in college after hearing the phrase, “be who you needed when you were younger.” Growing up, I struggled with anxiety, which showed up most often at school. Looking back, I believe I would have greatly benefited from access to mental health support in an educational setting to help me better cope with and manage my anxiety.

After earning my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign in 2020, I began working as a school social worker in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. While working in the middle school setting, I honed my clinical skills and came to realize that talk therapy was where I felt most engaged and effective, which led me to pursue work in the private practice setting. I earned my LCSW in 2023 and fully transitioned to private practice in 2024.

In my work, I strive to create a space that feels supportive, honest, and grounded—one where clients feel safe exploring difficult emotions while also building practical tools they can use in their daily lives. Through my time in private practice, I have continued to develop and refine my clinical skills, with a focus on working with adults. I especially enjoy working with adults who feel stuck in old patterns, struggle with anxiety or self-doubt, and are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes.

I value supporting clients through both breakthroughs and setbacks, knowing that both are part of the therapeutic process. My goal is to help clients discover their authentic selves and move through life with greater confidence, self-understanding, and a sense of pride in who they are becoming.

My Approach

Person Centered

I believe in learning about my clients’ strengths and incorporating them into treatment to make implementing strategies easier and more effective.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I use CBT to help my client identify their unhelpful thinking style and to provide strategies to help them challenge their thoughts, leading to emotional and behavioral responses that are more in line with their goals, values, and beilefs

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

I use DBT to help my clients learn about their emotions and better manage their symptoms through mindful coping strategies.

A little bit more about me…

I love to travel! My favorite place I have been so far is Japan!

I have a long-haired Dachshund named Ned, who loves to sit in on therapy sessions.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, going to concerts, reading, and playing video games.
